Spring Oil Painting Workshop

I’m excited to again offer a virtual painting workshops after a successful debut! I would love to invite you virtually into my studio. I will walk you through my oil painting tools and process and offer help as you work along side painting your own model. Info for the Spring workshop below! I’m aware that there is a huge range of time zones represented here and that no time slot will fit all, so I do plan to have future workshops offered at different days and times.

Intro to Oils: Painting bay and chestnut

5 weeks, Thursdays, 7:30 – 9:30 pm EST, April 15 – May 13, 2021, Zoom

Join me on Zoom for a live workshop as we learn the basic techniques of painting a model with oils. The workshop is limited to 10 people to keep the class size small and allow for individual attention. We will be working together to complete a bay or chestnut coat color of your choice, which will then be ready for your acrylic detailing in your own time.

Cost for 5 week course: $175

To sign up, email me at [email protected] (or use button below). First come/first served. The first 10 to email me will be invoiced for the full amount, payment due in 24 hours after which point I will move to the wait list as necessary.

This is a live virtual workshop. I will be able to better assist you if you have a working camera and microphone as well. Workshop sessions, including attendee participation, may be recorded and made available for a limited time to additional participants not able to be present during the live session. (If you would be interested in this option, I will gladly add you to a list to contact if this is made feasible).

Supplies

In addition to a primed model or medallion, you should have the following list of supplies.

Upon registration, a link to a DickBlick wish list will be sent for more convenient supply purchasing. You are welcome to use any equivalent supplies you may already have. Supply cost total estimate: $225, roughly. This can be reduced a little if needed by sticking to my core colors only, as outlined in the supply guide. This also does not include any of the Pearl-ex pigments, which are optional additions.

Please feel free to email me with any questions!
